Power and performance
Under the hood of the Acura RDX is a direct-injection, turbocharged engine. The 2.0-liter 16-valve powertrain with patented DOHC VTEC produces 272 horsepower and 280 lb-ft. torque. It's mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission and delivers more torque than the outgoing V6.
The next generation SH-AWD system increases rear wheel torque on the 40%. Up to 70% of available torque can now be distributed to the rear wheels. This will give drivers a sense of stability, security and control.
Drive modes available include Snow, Comfort, Sport, and Sport+. Each of them changes the overall dynamics of the car according to different road conditions. Drive modes use the Drive-by-Wire throttle, transmission, power steering, traction and audio control, and if needed, the SH-AWD system.
