When it comes to EVs, Teslas are top-of-the-line, aren't they?

Porsche has been talking trash at Tesla for a while, implying, if not outright stating, that Tesla doesn't understand performance and how to combine it with efficiency.

And now, at the 2018 Geneva International Motor Show, here it is: the new Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo.

X Marks The Spot

Porsche calls it an «electric-powered crossover utility vehicle,» and it's effectively up against the Tesla Model X and, for that matter, any other crossover.

It uses an 800-volt fast charging system and can also be charged via induction or charging dock and integrates with Porsche's home energy management system.

The Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo is on display at the 88th annual Geneva International Motor Show.

External design

Yes, Porsche calls it a cross utility vehicle, but it looks like a large station wagon with a small elevator.

There is a flow-through roof spoiler with a full-length light bar, and a large panoramic glass roof extends from the windshield to the tailgate.

Internal Procedures

The interior offers a fresh take on classic Porsche design elements.

Other interior design elements include visible lightweight structures on the dashboard and seats that resemble racing buckets with illuminated Porsche lettering.

Power and performance

Now about that powertrain.

«This performance is in addition to a continuous power level that allows multiple runs in a row without losing performance, which is unprecedented among electric vehicles,» Porsche said in a statement.

Accessibility and face

Curiously, Porsche doesn't mention weight, battery design or location.
