Such an example in China is the state-owned company Beiqi Futian Motor Co., Ltd (Foton). It is one of the largest automobile manufacturers in China. The company was established in 1996 as a result of restructuring and merger of more than 100 state-owned companies. Its core business was the production of buses, agricultural and commercial vehicles. The company entered the passenger car market only in 2004, producing the SUV \u00abSaga\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of its establishment, Foton already had production sites in 13 provinces of China. The company now specializes in the production of cars, SUVs, buses and vans, trucks, tractors and farm machinery. As a result of efforts and effective behavior on the market, in 2003 DaimlerCraisler signed a contract with Foton Motor.
