The company was established in 1996 as a result of restructuring and merger of more than 100 state-owned companies. By Ukrainian standards, Foton Motor is a very large manufacturer with a unique and impressive production base structure. The company produces more trucks, for example, than Russian manufacturers in total. The vehicles are characterized by high cross-country ability and are sold in the northern and taiga regions of the Russian Federation - in Novosibirsk, Khabarovsk, Irkutsk, Vladivostok.

The company plans to expand its presence in the CIS countries, primarily focusing on sales of heavy production special equipment.
