Kia's designers and engineers got the opportunity to put their creative and functional juices into the striking 2018 Stinger sedan, developed in Frankfurt and honed at the legendary Nürburgring circuit.
Meanwhile, the brand's crossovers are surpassing their 2017 sales thanks to the fresh Sorento, the recently updated Sportage and the electrified Niro, which will hit the market in 2017.
Expect the green Niro lineup to expand to an all-electric edition soon, while Kia is adding Telluride to the lineup to further capitalize on the shift to crossovers.
Rio: The 2018 Rio sedan and five-door hatchback have been redesigned for the 2018 model year with a look that Kia calls "decidedly European." The subcompact cars went on sale in the fourth quarter of 2017. A refresh is expected during the 2021 model year.
Soul: The square car arrived during the 2019 model year with minor packaging improvements, including a standard 5-inch touchscreen, rear camera display and voice recognition on the base model.
Forte: Design cues from the Kia Stinger sports sedan have made their way into the third-generation Forte compact sedan, which has received an overhaul that improves fuel economy and powertrain enhancements.
Optima: The refreshed 2019 Optima midsize sedan has been outfitted with new design cues and technology, including Stinger-style LED daytime running lights.
Cadenza: the second generation of the full-size sedan that went on sale two years ago.
Stinger: The Stinger went on sale in late 2017. The sports sedan was the first Kia vehicle to be named a finalist for the 2018 North American Car of the Year. The car has become an influential halo of design inspiration.
K900: The second-generation Kia K900 will go on sale in the U.S. in the fourth quarter as a 2019 model.
Sportage: The Sportage has been redesigned for the 2017 model year.
Sorento: the refreshed midsize crossover gets new front and rear fascia for the 2019 model.
Telluride: The Kia Telluride three-row crossover debuted as a well-received concept at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show.
Niro: The electrified crossover has plug-in and conventional hybrid models to choose from for the 2018 model.
Sedona: The refreshed 2019 model debuted at the New York Auto Show in March.
