The Nissan Xmotion concept (pronounced "cross motion") debuted at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan.
"By combining style and technology, this concept fulfills Nissan's mission of moving people to a better world," said Alfonso Albaisa, senior vice president of global design, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.
Design ideologies
Xmotion hints at Nissan's future design language, which the automaker describes as "dynamic" with "understated sculptural beauty". While Xmotion may indeed show the future, familiar Nissan patterns are still there, like the patented V-motion grille.
“At first glance, Xmotion may seem minimalist in design, but a closer look reveals the hidden details and even their layers that make this concept exceptional,” Albaisa explained.
functional focus
The Xmotion has to be more than beautiful, which will go well with its off-road qualities, long wheelbase and three rows of individual seats.
“With the Xmotion concept, we explored the more robust and powerful side of Nissan Intelligent Mobility,” said Albaisa.
