In a rather unconventional sense for Mercedes-AMG, the German manufacturer is about to release three new models and introduce new examples, this time of the 53 series. From the production line came the sedan, coupe and convertible E-class.

Mercedes-AMG Unveils 53 Series Models in Detroit

Mercedes-AMG CLS 53 power and performance

Under the hood of the new 2019 Mercedes-AMG CLS 53 4MATIC+ is a new, electrified 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six engine with an electric auxiliary compressor, with a total of 429 horsepower. This type of engine and the car as a whole are referred to as "moderate" hybrids, ideally combining conventional and electrical technologies.

There are so many new technological solutions in the new 53 series Mercedes that it’s even difficult to keep track of them.

First of all, Mercedes-Benz also uses an integrated 48-volt electrical system for better hybrid functionality.

A Mercedes-Benz spokesman notes that the key component is the EQ Boost starter-alternator for the entire advanced 48-volt electrical system.

Modes and controls

Another novelty that will delight all owners with its modes and softness of movement is the AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G automatic transmission. The new models cover five operating modes: Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Individual.

Suspension and braking technology

The suspension is called AMG RIDE CONTROL +, the cars have all-wheel drive.

And the new 53 series cars have brakes that can stop a freight train with ease.

Salon

The interior is also impressive, most notably the high-resolution dual displays and 12.3-inch screens.

Limited Edition

If all this is not enough to delight and buy, you can get an exclusive version of the AMG CLS 53. The limited edition offers unique interior services, black nappa leather upholstery with contrasting trim. Interior decoration is available in several colors.

These new Mercedes-AMGs will be on sale at the end of 2018.
