A full-sized LEGO McLaren 720S is now on display at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, California.
A full-scale model will be shown as part of an interactive exhibit where visitors can customize their own LEGO McLaren via the iPad app. The customization app includes racing stripes, flames, checkered flags, license plates and other backgrounds.
Members can also add their name and print a custom car sticker they have designed.

Attention to detail

McLaren Automotive worked with the only certified LEGO professional builder group in the UK. The team provided detailed technical and vehicle data to make the LEGO model more alive. The LEGO McLaren 720S has over 280,000 pieces.

A team of six people worked over 2,000 hours to complete the project. The builders even included new Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires.

Personally

The Petersen Center will visit racing ramps daily and build tables for museum visitors who want to build their own LEGO racing cars.
