Today we got a new set of spy photos about the facelift of the Hyundai Grandeur that were found there in a will parked on a street in South Korea wearing a large camouflage.
Looking at the pictures, this Grandeur sported a high level of camouflage, with decals and sailcloth, especially on the front, and we can imagine it could be a facelift model, with the incorporation of the latest iteration of Hyundai's hexagonal grille and the latest technology and safety systems.
Obviously this Grandeur has the same proportions despite the camouflage, so if you compare with the current model that is still sold in South Korea, we are not sure that before the facelift model (rather than the full change model) according to recent reports that say Hyundai is preparing big changes.
The latest generation of the Grandeur, codenamed IG, was introduced in October 2016, so we can expect a facelift in the summer (currently, the auto industry is chasing the tech industry in terms of releasing updated products every day faster).
The engine range will also be updated, with a new 2.5-litre Theta 3 engine replacing the old one and reminiscent of the 2.4 Theta 2 as seen on the recently released 8th Gen Sonata. Likely to resume the hybrid variant that was available on the former HG model but not yet on the current generation IG.
Inside, the only thing we can see is the gear selector, where we can find Shift By Wire controls, as we recently saw on the Palisade, and also inside on the next-gen Sonata.
What do you expect from this facelift??
