Hyundai Motor Company today announced organizational changes to its overseas operations as the company grants greater autonomy to each region to drive sustainable growth and innovation.

As the first step in its global business realignment, the company opened Hyundai Motor North America Headquarters, Hyundai Motor Europe Headquarters and Hyundai Motor India Headquarters on July 2. More overseas markets will be converted to regional headquarters as the company looks to close its operations.

The responsibilities of each regional unit will cover all aspects of the business, from product planning, marketing, sales and production.

The regional teams, in close collaboration with corporate headquarters, will play a key role in driving continuous innovation in every market and taking Hyundai's global business operations to the next level.

Hyundai Motor's newly established North America headquarters will include Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama, the company's manufacturing hub for the Americas, and three sales divisions - Hyundai Motor America, Hyundai Motor Canada and Hyundai Motor Mexico.

Hyundai Motor Europe Headquarters will expand the current role of Hyundai Motor Europe (HME) beyond sales by bringing Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech (HMMC) and Hyundai Assan Otomotiv Sanayi Ve Ticaret (a joint venture between HAOS: Turkey) under its umbrella.

Hyundai Motor India Headquarters will support the company in further expanding market operations under the leadership of Executive Vice President Yang Kay, current Managing Director of Hyundai Motor India.

Current HME President Hyun Cheng Kim will be promoted to Executive Vice President to head Global Operations at Hyundai's Seoul headquarters.
