The 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 will be available soon, and fans are likely to be thrilled by the latest news regarding a car with a special charm for motorsport fans.
"The Corvette ZR1's victory over VIR, arguably the most important thing to happen to a supercar in America, is a testament to its status," said Mark Reiss, GM executive vice president, Global Product Development, Purchasing and Supply Chain.
Like icing on a cake
“The track has been empty since mid-December, so it was free when we started testing,” explained Alex McDonald, manager of Chevrolet Vehicle Performance.
Power and performance
The ZR1 LT5 6.2L supercharged V8 is Chevy's most powerful engine, with 755 hp. and with 715 N * m of torque.
The new ZR1 features a more powerful 2.65-liter supercharger that generates more boost but is slightly slower than the previous generation LT4 engine.

Equipment
The ZR1 is equipped with five-point harnesses, custom sports seats and a ZTK Performance Kit that includes the use of High Wing carbon fiber for some of the parts.
“On the racetrack, the ZR1 competes well against any supercar, at any cost,” Royce said.
When it becomes available in Spring 2019, the Chevy Corvette ZR1 will start at $119,995, with ZTK performance upgrade options starting at $2,995.
