The best-selling 2019 Honda Odyssey minivan, with various technologies and safety features, has arrived at dealerships.
Retail data from Urban Science shows that Honda has led the minivan segment for eight years.
Power and performance
The new Honda Odyssey is equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 engine with direct injection and i-VTEC and Variable Cylinder Management systems. Depending on the trim level, the car comes with a nine-speed or ten-speed automatic transmission. The engine meets the EPA fuel economy rating and produces 280 horsepower and 355 lb-ft of torque.

Security and technology
The Honda Sensing package, with advanced safety features, is standard and includes collision and road departure mitigation, lane keeping and adaptive cruise control. On the tech front, there's everything from Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to in-car Wi-Fi and an entertainment system with Blu-ray and video streaming.
Of note is the CabinWatch feature available on the Touring and Elite. It allows parents to keep an eye on children sitting in the back through the eight-inch screen and even talk to them through the rear speakers or wireless headphones.
Pricing and production
The Odyssey LX starts at $31,065 and the EX-L is $38,585. At the top are the Touring and Elite, which will be available for $45,635 and $47,945 respectively.
