2020 Nissan Murano, Pathfinder & Armada: A Simple Guide to Prices and Features

Nissan has let the cat out of the bag for its top three SUVs/crossovers for 2020, Murano, Pathfinder and Armada. As you'd expect from outfits like Nissan, they're not as expensive as the content would lead you to believe. What you put on the road will depend on what exactly your family needs. The Murano seats five while the Pathfinder has seven and the Armada can seat eight. This quick guide will help you if you are considering buying a Nissan SUV in the near future.

2020 Nissan Murano

Let's deal with the lighter first, Murano. Like the Italian city it is named after, Murano strives for elegance and style more than off-road capabilities. Sure, you can drive 10 miles on a logging road, but you most likely won't, so why bother with it? However, it's perfect for commuting, commuting around the city, and getting the family where they need to be for the week.

The 2020 Nissan Murano will start at 32,575 $ for the front-wheel-drive S model. As you can probably guess, the S is an entry-level trimmer. The entire Murano range is available in four grades by 2020. At the top of the pile are S, SV, SL and Platinum. All of them are equipped with a 260-horsepower 3.5-liter DOHC V6 paired with an Xtronic transmission. You get a choice of front or all wheel drive across the range.

Safety and new colors

This third generation Murano has received an extensive facelift over the 2019 model. The exterior and interior have been revised with expanded availability of the Nissan Safety Shield 360, a suite of six advanced active safety and driver assistance technologies. New option packages are also offered, and you can even get a new exterior color: Super Black.

2020 Nissan Pathfinder

No one is going to accuse the Pathfinder of being a bland crossover only good for picking up the kids after school. Sure, you're probably going to use Pathfinder for just that, but if you want (or need to) get it down to some dirty, dirty track during the wee hours of the night, in the middle of a Roland Emmerich storm, Pathfinder handles it with a good-natured shrug. shoulders.

Like its Murano sibling, the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder starts at a very reasonable $32,725. The Pathfinder is a seven-passenger semi-track ride that comes in two-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations. You have a choice of four classes: S, SV, SL and Platinum. For 2020, Nissan will continue to offer the well-equipped Rock Creek Edition. Under the hood and in the cabin

All Pathfinders get a more powerful engine than the Murano: a 3.5-liter V6 with 284 hp. with Nissan Direct Injection (DIG). Said mill is connected to an Xtronic transmission. This increases the maximum towing capacity to 6,000 pounds, allowing you to tow any two-axle travel trailer you may have.

Inside the Pathfinder, Nissan's EZ Flex seating system features "Latch and Glide," a tilt-and-slide second-row seat that allows easy access to the third row, even with a car seat. Other available features include the Intelligent Around View Monitor; Bose audio system with 13 speakers; Double Moon Roof Panorama; power door with position memory; and NissanConnect with navigation and services.

2020 Nissan Armada

At the top of the heap (especially in terms of size) we find the 2020 Nissan Armada. Big and roomy, the Armada costs just $48,500, but you get plenty of features packed into an already imposing and capable SUV.
