Genesis has been produced by Hyndai Motor since 2008. Since 2012, it has been developing as a separate brand, not associated with the parent company. This is facilitated by the unique technological platform on which it is made. The car has its own Genesis emblem. This decision was made before the release of the second generation in 2014, as a result of the success of the brand in the market.

As part of the updated line, the company offered consumers the Genesis GV80, given the popularity of crossovers in the US market. It will be available for sale in autumn 2019. The new three-row SUV is equipped with new fuel cells and plug-in modules. The RWD / AWD platform remains unchanged for now, consumers had the opportunity to get acquainted with it in the G70 sedan. The SUV will have a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine and an optional turbocharged twin engine.
Genesis Essentia Special Edition
The Genesis Essentia concept car, shown in 2018, may be released in a limited edition. It is a sports car with a carbon fiber body, a transparent roof and a blue velor interior. Butterfly doors are a distinctive feature. As you know, such a solution was previously practiced only in piece production.
According to chief designer Peter Schreyer, chief designer of Hyundai-Kia, "butterflies" have everything you need for production. However, the Genesis Essentia will most likely come with regular doors.
