A stripe on the bonnet has confirmed that this car has a larger engine room and the fuel tank is in a new position, meaning that this car utilises a new and longer platform with a wheelbase of 2,845mm (the current Sonata LF has a wheelbase of 2,805mm)

The design of the new Sonata DN8 project is not confirmed, but looking at the photos, we can find a sleeker sedan, probably influenced by the design ideas of the Le Fil Rouge concept car recently launched in Geneva.
