Porsche Panamera 10th Anniversary Edition Celebrates 10th Anniversary

• The 2020 Porsche Panamera is celebrating 10 years of the badge for 10 years.
• New standard features and "exclusive aesthetics" await special editions.

The Porsche Panamera, a "practical" four-door car, has been around for a decade. It seems amazing. This thing still seems new to me, if not entirely new. Maybe it's because I'm still getting used to it. Yes, I know it's a Porsche. Yes, I know it's fast and yes, it's very capable; but man, ten years old and he still hasn't grown on me. Porsche says the Panamera 10 Year Edition is celebrating its first and only four-door anniversary with exclusive aesthetics and new standard equipment. We'll let it fall a bit in aesthetics because, damn it.

But what else will we get ten years from now?

How is the Porsche Panamera 10 Year Edition equipped??

For starters, the Panamera 10 Year Edition comes standard with additional comfort and safety features. ParkAssist including Surround View; LED matrix headlights including PDLS Plus; Lane Change Assist and Lane Keep Assist are now standard equipment. Also standard are comfy 14-way heated seats and a luxurious Porsche crest on the headrests. Soft doors and a Bose Surround Sound system are also standard.

In terms of performance, the adaptive three-chamber air suspension includes the Porsche Active Suspension System and Power Steering Plus. Hybrid versions come standard with an optional built-in 7.2 kW charger.

2020 Porsche Panamera 10 Year Edition: power and performance

The internal combustion engine is a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 producing 330 horsepower. Porsche calls its main source of motivation "monoturbo". No, I'm not joking, and no, I won't call it that! Generally speaking, Panameras have ICE engines that range from 330 to 550 horsepower, but the anniversary model will unfortunately only cost 330 ponies.

It's also sad that the 10-year-old edition doesn't get the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid's top-notch powertrain. It would be a lot more fun with its 680 horsepower total. The Panamera 4 E-Hybrid 10 Year Edition uses a 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine connected to an electric motor for a total output of 457 horsepower.

Styling and design

To separate the anniversary models from the crowd, there are 21-inch Panamera Sport Design wheels in high-gloss white gold with a metallic finish; and "Panamera 10" logos on the front doors, also in white gold metallic. The anniversary logo is located inside on the front passenger upholstery panel and on the door openings. The interior is black with contrast stitching in white gold. Porsche calls it "a deviant stitching" but I think they just contradict each other.

Pricing and Availability

New anniversary editions are available for the Panamera, Panamera 4 and Panamera 4 E-Hybrid. The Panamera 10 Year Edition and Panamera 4 10 Year Edition start at $103,300 and $107,500 respectively. The Panamera 4 E-Hybrid 10 Year Edition is priced at $ 116,900. Each will arrive at US dealerships in the first quarter of 2020.
