In honor of its most successful Formula 1 car, Lotus has unveiled a special edition Lotus Exige Cup 430 Type 25. The cars will be produced in a limited edition by Hethel. The cost of each will be 110 thousand pounds.

Copy or replica?

Is the new Lotus Exige Cup 430 Type 25 a copy or a replica? This question is asked by many car enthusiasts. In fact, it is neither one nor the other, but a third and completely new experience. The new car is a design exercise, borrowing the aesthetic cues of the famous F1 car to create a unique look. To give more exclusivity, the manufacturer ordered a special historical documentation.

It's not the same car or even a replica, it's a tribute to the Lotus 25 that won the Grand Prix in 1963.

Available Variants Lotus Exige Cup 430 Type 25

Each Lotus Exige Cup 430 Type 25 will be finished in Lotus Racing Green (green) or Old English White (white). The body will feature contrasting stripes on the front splitter, front access panel, curbs, roof and rear fender. Curbs are a new solution and were not present in the original model.

Power and performance

The Lotus Exige Cup 430 Type 25 is a hybrid. For this purpose, a supercharger and charger designed specifically for the unique requirements of the engine is used. The machine pumps out an impressive 430 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque.

A six-speed manual transmission is fitted as standard. There is also a variable traction control function connected directly to the ECU. It is controlled by a six position rotary switch on the steering column.

Aerodynamics

Yes, the Lotus Exige Cup 430 Type 25 is a very nice car, but it's kind of a British version of the Porsche GT3. At the rear, large cut-out sections behind the rear wheels can be seen to reduce wheel arch pressure and increase downforce.

Composite technology plays a significant role in the creation of Exige. Unnecessary weight is reduced as much as possible without sacrificing comfort.

Suspension and braking

The suspension is as close to perfection as the Lotus itself.

Salon

In the cabin, everything is done according to business requirements.
