2019 Genesis G70 Proposes Building Brand Longevity

Genesis officially introduced the 2019 G70 luxury sedan to the US market at this year's New York International Auto Show, and yes, there are plenty.

Still, the G70's interior is driver-centric and loaded with enough high-quality materials to choke a horse.

And it's actually impressive: Genesis will offer an optional six-speed manual transmission on models with 2.0 all-wheel drive.

Travel and handling

All G70 models run on fairly standard MacPherson multi-pivot front and multi-purpose rear suspension.

To improve grip, there is an aluminum cap and a mechanical slip limiter.

The G70 is configurable per driver choice with five modes available.

Digital servants?

Like all Genesis models, the G70 comes with advanced telematics, seamless connectivity, and great built-in tech goodies like Destination Search, with Voice support, Car Finder, advanced roadside support, stolen vehicle recovery, and SOS Emergency & Automatic Collision Notification.

Among other things, the G70 is an Amazon Alexa-enabled device with voice control.

Availability and face

The Genesis G70 is arriving in dealers this summer and will be available in eight color options: Victoria Black, Casablanca White, Himalayan Grey, Santiago Silver, Adriatic Blue, Mallorca Blue, Havana Red and Siberian Ice.
